Welcome Summer Interns

RunSwitch is excited to welcome our two interns for the summer, Chelsea Rosenberg and Olivia Sievert. Learn a little bit more about both, below.

Name: Chelsea Rosenberg

Hometown: Louisville, Kentucky

College/Year/Major: Miami University (OH), Senior, Strategic Communications and Professional Writing

What part of your internship are you most excited about?

I am most excited about working with the RunSwitch team again and continuing to learn about the field through hands-on work with a variety of clients and experienced public relations and public affairs experts. I look forward to building my writing and communication skills this summer. So happy to be back!

What drew you to intern at RunSwitch?

Last summer, I had the opportunity to intern with RunSwitch and both times, I was drawn in by RunSwitch’s dedication to both its clients and its employees. The RunSwitch team has provided me with a challenging learning environment and a group of admirable and supportive mentors.

What is one skill you hope to get better at during your internship?

I hope to improve my writing abilities during my internship, including press releases, op-eds and pitches. I would also like to improve my writing for social media.

Favorite Louisville restaurant: Ditto’s on Bardstown Road

Favorite summer activity: Relaxing at the pool or on the beach

Current Netflix binge: The Office (for the second time)

Dream travel destination: Thailand

Three things you would want with you if you were stranded on a deserted island: A dog, my Spotify playlists and all ten seasons of Friends

Go-to karaoke song: Anything Beyonce

Last really great book you read: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (for the third time)

One thing you’ve waited in line the longest for: Escape from Gringotts ride at Harry Potter World Universal Studios

Name: Olivia Sievert

Hometown: Louisville, Kentucky

College/Year/Major: Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from WKU this month

What part of your internship are you most excited about?

I am excited to work with a team of highly respected professionals. I am looking forward to learning more about the field and getting to combine my education in politics with my previous experience in public relations.

What drew you to intern at RunSwitch?

I was interested in RunSwitch after learning about their past successes in Kentucky through a professor. After doing more research I realized the work done by the company aligned with my future career goals.

What is one skill you hope to get better at during your internship?

I am hoping to improve on my writing and copy editing skills during my internship as well as learn more about the public relations industry.
