RunSwitch Welcomes Woody Maglinger

RunSwitch PR, Kentucky’s largest full-service public relations and public affairs firm, announced today that Woody Maglinger III has joined the firm as a Senior Account Director. Woody brings with him nearly two decades of communications experience in state and local government.

Prior to joining RunSwitch, he served as Press Secretary and Deputy Communications Director for the Commonwealth’s 62nd Governor Matt Bevin. His roles included strategic communications planning, serving as a spokesperson for the governor, coordinating public events and appearances, writing and disseminating press releases and official statements, and interacting with state, national and international media outlets.

“RunSwitch has built a strong reputation in Kentucky and beyond, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to join this talented and highly respected team,” said Maglinger. “I look forward to utilizing my experience in the public sector and my passion for strategic communications and creative problem solving to partner with our clients in advancing their goals.”

Prior to his role in the governor’s office, Woody served as Communications Director for the Kentucky Education & Workforce Development Cabinet under Secretary Hal Heiner, assisting with the launch of innovative new programs like the Work Ready Skills Initiative and the Dual Credit Scholarship Program.

A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Woody holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in history from Western Kentucky University.

“We are excited to welcome Woody to RunSwitch and know he will have an immediate impact on our clients,” said Kaylee Carnahan Price, Senior Vice President at RunSwitch. “Woody is known across Kentucky for his strategic mind and principled work ethic, and that’s the kind of talent we want on our team to produce the winning results our clients are accustomed to receiving.”

RunSwitch has experienced tremendous growth while serving clients all over the country in its more than seven years of existence. The firm has twice been named a “Best Place to Work” by Louisville’s Business First and in 2018 received the statewide “Best Places to Work” award from the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
