RunSwitch PR Promotes Kathryn Parrish to Vice President

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – RunSwitch Public Relations, Kentucky’s largest public relations and public affairs firm, announced today the promotion of Kathryn Parrish to vice president. Kathryn is a leader in providing communications strategy and counsel to clients and has quickly grown the firm’s capabilities and footprint in the health care industry and beyond.

Kathryn joined RunSwitch in 2015, having held communications and public relations roles in Raleigh, North Carolina and Arlington, Virginia after graduating from the University at Buffalo. Her experience working in agency and in-house environments on behalf of large companies, small businesses, nonprofits and trade associations has been a tremendous asset to the team.

“RunSwitch has provided me the opportunity to work alongside so many incredible colleagues, clients and partners, and I’m excited about the firm’s continued growth as we begin a new year. It is truly a privilege to support the important work our clients are doing, particularly in the health care and addiction recovery fields,” said Parrish.

As vice president, Kathryn will expand her leadership role within the firm while continuing to assist clients in achieving their communications, public relations and public affairs goals, both in Kentucky and across the country.

“In addition to working alongside dynamic colleagues, one of the most beneficial aspects to being at RunSwitch is the opportunity for and recognition of professional growth,” said Kaylee Carnahan Price, a senior vice president with the firm. “I’m proud of Kathryn for reaching this career achievement and look forward to watching her continue to lead as part of the senior management team.”

Kathryn has been an integral part of many of the firm’s most notable projects during the past five years, including extensive national communications and advocacy work in the addiction/recovery space, several major initiatives for Churchill Downs and dozens of efforts to pass legislation protecting access to health care for Kentuckians.

“Kathryn has had a major impact on the firm since day one, immediately jumping in and raising the bar on client service,” said founding partner Steve Bryant. “Over the past five years she’s become a true leader while expertly guiding some of our largest long-term accounts. We’re honored to have her on the team and excited to see her excel in this new senior position.”

Kathryn enjoys running, reading, cooking and spending time with her two daughters and husband.
